Cyberpsychology Lab
Exploring the psychology of digital technologies, from AI and virtual reality to online interaction
The Cyberpsychology Lab investigates how digital technologies are transforming the way people think, feel, interact, and relate to others. Our research lies at the intersection of social psychology and the psychology of digital technologies, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, virtual reality, video games, and immersive environments.
We study how these technologies shape social identity, interpersonal and intergroup relations, emotions, social perception, and behavior. At the same time, we use digital technologies as innovative research tools to recreate complex social experiences, test psychological processes in controlled yet realistic environments, and develop interventions aimed at promoting inclusion, sustainability, well-being, and positive social change.
Through experimental and interdisciplinary research, the Cyberpsychology Lab aims to better understand the evolving relationship between people, society, and technology.
